The St. Louis Rams, San Diego Chargers, and Oakland Raiders have all filed for Los Angeles relocation much to the dismay of their passionate fan bases.
The possibility of having not 2 but 3 NFL teams in Los Angeles just seems to crowded for the NFL to allow however 2 teams sharing a stadium is incredibly likely. Between the 3 teams the St. Louis Rams actually have the best proposal for moving as Stan Kroenke has had his eye on the LA market for quite some time.
The Rams plan includes the creation of a 70,240 seat stadium in Inglewood with an additional 30,000 people in standing room for big events which would generate more revenue for the NFL than the Chargers/Raiders Carson City based stadium that would only seat 65,000 people.
The Rams are selling their stadium/ relocation idea as they are trying to build the Cowboys stadium of the west. Currently it is looking like the two best teams for Los Angeles are the Chargers and the Rams. The Raiders are trending upward and Oakland still holds a pretty rabid fan base, while the Chargers are picking 3rd in the NFL draft. The Chargers and Raiders got together to submit a plan for relocation together however it is not considered that either of their plans are "actionable" which basically means there is a ton of red tape to clear up before the actually stadium is built.
The Raiders and Chargers currently play in the oldest stadiums in the NFL. NFL owners will now have a meeting to decide the fate of these three teams on January 12-13 in Houston, Texas.
