Even with reports that Brown is fine and will play Sunday concussions are a mysterious beast. With Adam Jones declaring that he thinks Brown is "faking" his injury however reports from Steelers practices are very different.
Brown is actually doubtful as ESPN's Bob Holtzman reported that it is "not looking good" for the Steelers star wide receiver to be cleared for Sunday's divisional showdown. Concussion symptoms can flare up at different and sporadic times so Brown does have a legitimate shot of finishing out the week without any symptoms.
The Steelers however seem to be staying optimistic as they attempt to game plan for the Broncos who just got the previously injured DeMarcus Ware back onto the practice field. With Big Ben already dinged up the last thing the Steelers need is their primary playmaker unable to play. The Steelers had already been dealing with DeAngelo Williams's ankle injury and their backups did a solid job filling in. Even after a week of rest it is expected that Williams could miss this playoff game as well.
The Broncos defense is elite so the Steelers were going to be tested anyway, however losing several starters for this game might just shut the door on the Steelers Super Bowl aspirations.
