The Detroit Lions may have finally reached a breaking point with Jim Caldwell as another season without a playoff berth weighs on the minds of many within the Lions organization.
The Lions new general manager Bob Quinn is a guy who loves excellence and wants this organization to set up some lofty expectations for themselves. Quinn is a known Patriots supporter and loves their coaches which means it is only a matter of time before he and Matt Patricia/ Josh McDaniels have a little sit down to discuss future plans.
Patricia or McDaniels have been expected to break out as head coaches as soon as the opportunity presents itself, however the Patriots are currently in the playoffs and have a decent chance at being repeat champions.
The Patriots coaches are likely following the same method that Hue Jackson used in which they will not discuss future jobs and roles in new organizations as long their current job is not yet over. It would be interesting to see what Matt Patricia could do with this defense and what McDaniels could do with this offense however before any of that happens, we are going to have to see what they do in the playoffs.
