Despite their record, the Saints have been one of the most dominant teams in the league as of late. After going through all their drama during the offseason, the Saints, guided by Drew Brees, have been absolutely dominant on offense.
The Saints' problems have been on defense all year long. but they have held their opponents to just 19 games, average, in the last three games.
The 49ers will have their second-year quarterback Colin Kaepernick at the helm running their offense.
He showed how great he could be despite not having a great deal of experience. In his first ever start, Kaepernick went 16-23 for 243 yards and two touchdowns for the first passing TD's of his career.
He was calm and cool in his first start and of course, having Frank Gore back you up on the run is always big.
The Saints have one of the top offenses in the league and the 49ers have the best team int he NFL.
They will be fighting power with power as the 49ers secondary will be challenging Brees and his offense.
