The NFC Championship game is set with the Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals next Sunday from Bank of America Stadium. The Panthers won over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, while the Cardinals won over the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round of the playoffs.

The Panthers are the number one seed in the NFC this postseason and will host the Cardinals for the divisional round game. The Panthers won over the Seattle Seahawks despite a big comeback after going up 31-0, while the Cardinals won over the Packers in overtime after a last-second touchdown from Aaron Rodgers.

The Cardinals were the second seed in the conference this season and hosted the Packers in the divisional round, winning 26-20 after Green Bay forced overtime. The Packers were down 20-13 with second to go and Aaron Rodgers was able to connect with Jeff Janis on a stunning Hail Mary play to send the game into overtime. But the Packers never got the ball again after that.

The Cardinals drove down the field with a 75-yard play to Larry Fitzgerald and right after that the team scored the winning touchdown with a shovel pass to the receiver. Fitzgerald had eight catches for 176 yards and a TD in the game, while Carson Palmer threw for 349 yards for the Cardinals. The Seahawks took a huge first half lead against the Seahawks and had to hold off a furious comeback to get to the NFC championship game.

This matchup will be the first time that two Heisman Trophy winners (Carson Palmer and Cam Newton) will be matching up in the Super Bowl era, according to ESPN Stats & Info.
