Obviously as the first team picking in the 2016 NFL Draft the Tennessee Titans have a ton of options. The Titans can select any of the top prospects however they could also use their draft positioning to gain significant trade leverage.
Plenty of NFL teams would love to acquire the first pick overall so they can guarantee that they get the players they need to fill specific holes. With the New York Giants picking 10th, the Philadelphia Eagles picking 13th, the new Los Angeles Rams picking at 15th, the Washington Redskins picking at the 21st spot, and the Houston Texans picking 22nd any of these teams could make the jump to number 1 overall for a franchise quarterback or pass rusher.
Any trade will have to be somewhat tilted in favor of the Titans as they could use this pick to help solidify the Titans offensive line. The Eagles may be one of the more likely candidates to attempt to move up to the first position in the draft as they can offer Jason Peters who is 33 years old and a cap burden, their first round pick (13), DeMarco Murray or one of their running backs, and a couple of backup pass rushers.
The Eagles trading away the remains of the Chip Kelly regime for a shot at a franchise quarterback would seemingly be an enticing deal. Any team that wants to move to the first overall spot in the NFL draft they likely need to fill a ton of the Titans needs before doing so.
