Philadelphia Eagles Rumors: Team Intends To Keep Sam Bradford at Quarterback?

Jan 19, 2016 04:54 PM EST

It appears as if the new Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson feels as if Sam Bradford is a "top notch quarterback".  He also feels that Bradford would fit perfectly into his system however Chip Kelly said pretty much the same thing.

Pederson will also call the plays on the offense next season making the Eagles personnel decisions that much more important. Bradford will hit free agency in 2016 unless the Eagles can resign him which seemed unlikely considering Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie did not seem excited about keeping any of Chip Kelly's players.

It was being reported for a while that Bradford did not like his time in Philadelphia and would be open to moving on and starting fresh somewhere else. Whether or not Bradford can actually do this remains to be seen. Bradford completed 346 passes out of 532 in 2015 good enough for a 65% completion rating. Bradford played 14 games this season and amassed 3725 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions.

This was a solid season for Bradford however the Eagles on the other hand were spinning out of control. It remains to be seen if Bradford is on the upswing, however he did remain somewhat healthy all season long. It is possible the new Eagles coach takes a chance on the young quarterback.
