The Broncos had the best defense in the league this season, while the Panthers were ranked in the top 10. The two teams now will face off and whichever unit plays better could determine the outcome of the game.

Newton is the favorite to win the NFL MVP award this season and he has already won one from the football writers association. Newton accounted for 45 touchdowns this season and also led his team to a 14-0 record before losing their first game.

Injuries could impact this game, as players like Thomas Davis and Jared Allen could be questionable for the Panthers. The Broncos have a couple safeties banged up along with Chris Harris.
