Apparently owner Jimmy Haslam believes that the Browns relationship with Johnny Manziel can still be fixed. The Browns selected Johnny Football in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, and ever since then it has been nothing but disappointment.
Manziel was a young kid thrust into the limelight as the poster boy for the Cleveland Browns. Manziel would make a couple of large social media gaffes which would the Browns were very critical of.
The Browns clearly expected too much out of Johnny Football as he was unable to do anything with the Browns anemic offense. Sure players such as Travis Benjamin and Gary Barnidge broke out however a combination of bad offensive line play and Manziel's inexperience in the pro's stunted the offensive potential of this team.
The return of Josh Gordon should have Browns fans excited as he will add a completely new dimension to this team. The Browns needed an explosive playmaker all throughout the regular season so it will be interesting to see what kind of chemistry Manziel and Gordon will have on the football field.
The Browns will have too really hit on all of their picks in this year's draft (heavily focused on the offensive line) to ensure that whoever is running this offense will have the time to make plays. The Browns could also shock everyone and not take a quarterback as their first round pick, however new head coach Hue Jackson has seemingly distanced himself from Manziel and seemed to be focus on finding a new single caller.
