Laquon Treadwell Draft Targets: Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions, San Diego Chargers Options For Wide Receiver?

Laquon Treadwell is getting buzz as the top wide receiver in the 2016 draft class and that could lead to the Ole Miss star being a top 10 draft pick.

Teams like the Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions, San Diego Chargers, New York Giants and Cincinnati Bengals could consider taking Treadwell in the first round, as each of those teams has a need at wide receiver. The Cowboys, Chargers and 49ers are all in the top 10, while teams like the Giants, Bengals and Lions would likely have to move up to get Treadwell.

Treadwell has the size and the speed to be a solid starter in the NFL and some teams may see him as a game changer at the position. Treadwell is 6-foot-2, 229 pounds and has the physical ability to break away from cornerbacks. Treadwell came back from a serious injury last year and put up some great numbers this season, finishing with 82 catches for 1153 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Rebels. Treadwell doesn't have blazing speed, but he makes up for that with strong hands and precise route-running.

The Cowboys have been predicted to take a quarterback in many mock drafts so far this offseason, but after the way Dez Bryant dealt with injuries last season, there is a chance they take a look at Treadwell. WalterFootball.com writes that Treadwell is a "tremendous blocker" and those skills should help him once he gets drafted to the next level. Treadwell proved this season that he could stay healthy after suffering a nasty knee injury and that is one area that teams will take a close look at during the combine and in interviews.

The Cowboys are a solid option for Treadwell, while the Chargers also could be a fit at the number three pick. The Chargers dealt with a ton of injuries at the position this season and they could see Treadwell as a player to line up next to Keenan Allen for years to come. The 49ers have Anquan Boldin hitting free agency and if he doesn't return, Chip Kelly could take a look at Treadwell.

The Lions are in position to trade up if they want and they could look at Treadwell as a replacement for Calvin Johnson, who reportedly is considering retirement this offseason. Treadwell put up strong stats as a freshman with 72 receptions for 608 yards and in 2014 he had 48 receptions for 632 yards and five touchdowns before suffering a serious knee injury.
