Los Angeles Rams News: LA Monitoring Peyton Manning Situation? Rams Option Without Retirement?

Feb 05, 2016 03:15 PM EST

It is being reported that the Los Angeles Rams are internally discussing the possibility of trying to lure Peyton Manning to the Rams. Manning will be under contract until the end of the 2017 season with the Broncos however he could also retire.

The Broncos will also likely move on regardless if Peyton does or does not retire at the end of this season.

The Rams could offer Peyton a lot more than he would find anywhere else to become their quarterback for 1 or 2 seasons so Peyton could consider the move, especially with a solid defense in place and a workhorse running back to take some of the pressure away Manning.

The Rams likely want this move to happen because any quarterback would be better than going into the season placing your hopes with Case Keenum or Nick Foles. The Manning name would also bring a buzz that the Los Angeles Rams might find pretty profitable.

It really would be a win-win for both sides as Manning is not going to find another team to pay him what the Rams would likely pay for him, the Broncos could also trade him if Manning does not retire which would be an interesting course of events as it would be curious to see just what the Rams would give up for Manning. Manning certainly wants to go out as a Super Bowl champion however if that doesn't happen anything can is possible.
