Charles Woodson is hanging up his cleats after a long NFL career, but the future Hall of Fame star is not staying away from the game completely. Woodson is reportedly set to take over for Keyshawn Johnson on ESPN next season.
According to Jason McIntyre of TheBigLead.com, Woodson will take over for Johnson on Sunday NFL Countdown next season after Johnson and ESPN parted ways. Woodson is joining the crew with Chris Berman, Tom Jackson, Mike Ditka, and Cris Carter and could be a long-term option for the network. Woodson said last year that he would be interested in a TV career after his playing days are over and now that is set to happen on ESPN.
Woodson spent the last three seasons with the Raiders after playing for the Packers from 2006 to 2012. Woodson was originally drafted by the Raiders and won a Super Bowl with the Packers. Woodson has put up some of the best numbers for any defensive back in NFL history and he also won the Heisman trophy back in 1997 while at Michigan.
