With the Cowboys looking not re-sign Greg Hardy in the offseason Jason Pierre-Paul has been an intriguing name that has popped up when it comes to free agents the Cowboys could bring in. JPP undoubtedly will not be looking for a ton of money when it comes to his contract maybe a 3-4 year deal for a modest sum.
JPP is a smart guy and knows that teams value a defensive ends ability to occupy blockers and allow other defenders a chance to get after the quarterback. JPP would be an enormous force to stop on the Dallas line even if he could not necessarily tackle anyone.
JPP had a second surgery on his injured hand so he could have more control over his movement, it would not be surprising to see him be a dominant pass rusher after an entire offseason of rehabbing and strengthening his injured hand.
The Cowboys are also bargain hunters and if teams feel as if they cannot use JPP then the Cowboys will likely toss their hats into the free agent ring. Without Greg Hardy the Cowboys are going to need a new productive pass rusher regardless and JPP might be the player to come along and help this pass rush get to a different level. The Cowboys will also draft defensive lineman so signing JPP could be the beginning of filling this rosters key needs.
