Paris St. Germain manager Carlo Ancelotti has promised his side can bounce back against FC Porto in the Champions League, after the French side suffered a shock defeat to Nice in Ligue 1 over the weekend.

The two teams have already qualified to the knockout rounds from Group A, with just the winners to be decided. PSG have 12 points from five matches, while Porto have a point more than their opponents, meaning a draw will ensure top spot for the Portuguese side, while PSG need all three points.

"We talked about making changes, but that doesn't happen overnight, and we have only had one training session since our loss on Saturday," Ancelotti told reporters. "This match is important for two reasons: first to get first place and take on a great club with a lot of experience, and to turn the page on the Nice defeat and find our confidence again.

"The criticisms levelled at PSG are deserved. Everyone at the club is sorry, because we have not made a good start to the season. The league isn't over, and we're already through to the next phase of the Champions League. I think PSG will be very competitive.

"We can make progress, and I'm only focused on finding the right solution. But I have a good feeling about this match."

Porto manager Vitor Pereira insisted his side would not hold back and settle for a point. "PSG have class, but we will play our game, looking to get a lot of possession and push forward," he said. "Their team is full of talented players, and two months ago they were full of confidence and being considered as one of Europe's finest sides.

"PSG are not Zlatan (Ibrahimovic) and ten other players, but I am concentrating on our team. Like players at any big club, they have to handle pressure. We'll be going for the three points -- that's always our aim, no matter where we play."

Kevin Gameiro, Thiago Motta and Mathieu Bodmer are doubts for PSG, while Maicon is ruled out for Porto.
