The Giants are struggling and the Saints are clawing for their playoff lives.
Both teams suffered Week 13 losses. The Giants lost to the tough and young Washington Redskins, while the Saints also dropped a divisional matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
Drew Brees' touchdown streak was snapped by the Falcons in their Monday Night Football and they also crushed the Saints' playoff hopes making it almost impossible to make it to the postseason this year.
The Giants are still in possession of first place in the NFC East, but by a slim margin. The Cowboys and Redskins are tailing Big Blue. The Giants have a one-game lead in the division and have to turn it up a notch if they are to avoid any late season drama.
The Giants are losers of three of their last four and really need to start winning because an upset is ahead as the hungry Redskins are the more dangerous team.
It should be a masterpiece as two of the best quarterbacks in the league faceoff. It will be Brees versus Eli Manning.
The Giants have the edge since they have a relevant running game and the better defense. However, Brees' and the Saints' best defense is their explosive offense and they crushed the Giants 49-24 last season during the regular season.
The Saints own the Giants in their last three meetings totaling 127 points in those three meetings.
