Tito Vilanova admitted to being wary of Cordoba as Barcelona take on the second division side in the first leg of the Copa Del Rey pre-quarterfinals.
The Barcelona manager knows Cordoba will give it everything they have got to try and create the most monumental of upsets on Wednesday.
"It's a game people assume we'll win, but I'd have preferred to play a first division team," he said.
"It's the game of the year for them, like the Champions League final would be for us ... Cordoba are excited about this because it's 40 years since they last played in the first division. This game will be very difficult. We won't be able to finish the job there, but we will have to get a good result."
Vilanova has left only Victor Valdes, Andres Iniesta and Adriano behind, with Cesc Fabregas out through injury, and the manager again stressed his side would not be taking their opponents too lightly.
"Our players love to play football. They know it's an important game and that we have to do well. We can't go somewhere like Cordoba assuming we'll win easily," he adding while saying there was very little difference between a side in the second division and the ones that have been promoted.
Iniesta has been given a rest, owing to the fact that Fabregas won't be available for the top of the table clash against Atletico Madrid at the weekend.
All eyes will again be on Lionel Messi, who will look to increase his record tally of 86 goals in a calendar year.
"Leo Messi great virtue is that he does as a professional exactly the same things that he did as a kid, and that's a difficult thing to do," Vilanova said. "Given who he is today and what there is yet to come, he is one of the greats in FC Barcelona history."
