After suffering a heartbreaking last-minute loss to Everton in the English Premier League last weekend, Tottenham will be desperate to make amends against a Swansea side also looking to pick up a victory.
Spurs threw away three points against Everton, as the Toffees scored two goals in the final minutes to take home the victory. Tottenham are currently level on points with fourth-placed Everton and will look to move further up the table.
Swansea were also on the receiving end of a defeat last weekend - a 4-2 reverse against Norwich - and Michael Laudrup will be keen to see his side get level on points with Spurs with a victory. Swansea are in eighth on 23 points, three less than their opponents Sunday.
"We have got respect for them," Swansea manager Michael Laudrup told reporters. "They have a very good squad, with a couple of injured players on the way back and they are my favourites to finish fourth this season.
"Even though Gareth Bale may not play, they will have someone else who can come in and play well.
"But I am confident that we will produce another good performance, and I'm hoping the achievement of reaching the semi-final on Wednesday will compensate for any tiredness that we may have. We have confidence going into the game and we'll go for it.
"I'm happy that we have a difficult game this weekend. Everyone knows that we will have to be at the top of our game and at 100 per cent, otherwise we will struggle.
"I'm very confident in the players and I know they will produce a good performance. But we know we are up against a very strong side and it will be a tough game."
Gareth Bale is unlikely to feature for Spurs, while Younes Kaboul is also ruled out. However, Scott Parker and Benoit Assou-Ekotto have returned to training and are likely to be on the bench. Michael Dawson will also return for Spurs, after missing the last game.
For Swansea, goalkeeper Michel Vorm is back in training but the Spurs game comes too early for him, while Pablo Hernandez is still struggling to overcome his hamstring problem. Wayne Routledge, though, is expected to shake off an ankle injury.
