Juventus can go seven points clear of Inter Milan at the top of the table with a win over Atalanta in their Serie A game.

Inter crashed to a 1-0 loss to Lazio Saturday, leaving the door open for Juventus to extend their lead.

Juve are currently four points ahead of their nearest rivals with 38 points from 16 games, while Atalanta are in tenth on 21 points.

Atalanta's Emanuele Giaccherini nearly made a move to Turin in the summer, before a deal fell through. The midfielder admitted to feeling a little disappointed at not being able to complete a move to Juve, but insisted he is currently perfectly happy with his club.

"They were some difficult months, with my future in the balance right until the very end, and dealing with the rumors wasn't easy," he told Tuttosport.

"I'll admit that on the evening of August 31 I felt a little bit of regret but the next day I was fine because I'm happy at Atalanta.

"I can't ever be totally sure but I think I was very close to a move.

"I would be a hypocrite if I said that I wouldn't like to play for a big club like Juventus in the future.

"If Atalanta is a Mercedes then Juventus is a Ferrari... having said that, I'm focused on Atalanta and I won't waste my energy thinking about other things."

Juventus will be without Nicklas Bendtner, who has been ruled out for a considerable amount of time, and Arturo Vidal. Paul Pogba is expected to replace Vidal in the center of the park.

Leonardo Binucci is ruled out of the game through suspension, while Sebastian Giovinco returns after missing the previous game. Martin Ceceres is expected to replace Bonucci in the lineup having recovered from injury.
