Real Betis will be aiming for fifth place when they travel to Celta Vigo, who are desperate to get themselves away from a relegation battle.

Betis have been flying high this season, and are currently in sixth on 25 points from 15 matches, while a victory could take them into fifth above Levante, who have 27 points.

Celta Vigo, meanwhile, are in 15th, just two points off the relegation places, and while a win won't change their position in the table, it will certainly take them further away from the bottom three.

Betis, though, will be hampered by injuries going into the game, with their main striker Reuben Castro doubtful to take his place in the starting lineup against Celta.

Castro has been in brilliant from this campaign, scoring nine goals in La Liga, while having netted five in the last four games in all competitions.

Castro is currently suffering from a claf injury, but Betis manager Pepe Mel is hopeful his forward can shake off the injury before the Celta match, while on-loan Arsenal forward Joel Campbell and Juan Carlos are also doubtful.

"We will wait before we make a small test for Castro," Mel told reporters during his pre-match press conference.

"I'm not sure if I will have to make changes. That will depend heavily on the participation of Joel, Juan Carlos and what we know after Reuben's test.

"They are all attacking players and we might have to look at some variations."

Defender Jose Dorado, though has definitely been ruled out. "Dorado suffered his problem against Las Palmas (in the Copa Del Rey) and usually that injury takes around four weeks' recovery," Mel added.

The Betis boss was all praise for Celta forward Iago Aspas, who has been a revelation this season for the struggling La Liga side. "The nice thing with Aspas is that he is an unpredictable player," Mel said.

"His goals have inspired the rise of Celta. He is one of the most important players in the competition."
