Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli could be on his way to AC Milan, while Joleon Lescott has been told he is free to leave when the transfer window opens in January.
Balotelli has been one of the most disappointing players in the English Premier League this season. Much was expected from the mercurial Italian, after putting in commendable performances for his country in Euro 2012; but the striker has flattered to deceive so far this year.
While City manager Roberto Mancini has repeatedly come to the forward's defense, he has not been able to hide his disappointment in his player's performances and attitude.
It is believed the only thing keeping Balotelli at City was Mancini's faith in the 22-year-old, but now according to goal.com, City are ready to sell the Italian to Milan, with the player himself resigned to an exit.
Milan are in need of a new striker, with Alexandre Pato and Robinho on the verge of making moves to Brazil.
The Italian giants have been long-term admirers of Balotelli, right from his time with Inter Milan, and they could now make a move in January, with City slapping a £20 million ($32 million) price tag.
"The situation has reached a point where both player and club simply want his time at City to end as soon as possible," a source told goal.com.
"Mario has told his representatives that he is ready to leave Manchester. He is just waiting for the call from Italy."
Meanwhile, another player set to leave the Etihad is Lescott, who has fallen way down the pecking order at City.
Lescott was one of the first choice center-backs for Mancini last season, but the manager has preferred Matija Nastasic to partner Vincent Kompany this year, with Kolo Toure as third-choice.
Lescott, who is available for as little as £8 million ($13 million) according to The Sun, has hardly seen any playing time in recent weeks, leading to suggestions his old club Everton could be ready to make a move.
Queens Park Rangers have also shown an interest, with the only stumbling block for all interested parties being the defender's £90,000 a week ($145,000) salary.
