Buccaneers vs. Falcons Live Stream: Watch Free Online NFC South Rivals Face Off at 1 p.m. ET

Dec 30, 2012 12:26 PM EST

The Atlanta Falcons are on their way to the playoffs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers can't do anything about it. Watch the kickoff at 1 p.m. ET as both teams look to wrap up their 2012 seasons on high notes.

For the Falcons, wait, let's talk about the Bucs first since there's more to say.

The Buccaneers were in the playoff picture not too long ago. They went from 6-4 battling for a Wild Card spot to losing five straight games. Though the record is not impressive, three of these losses were by a total of five points.

The future is bright for the Bucs as they have the Josh Freeman they've been waiting to see for the past couple of seasons. By no means is he up to the elite levels of the Peyton Mannings, Tom Bradys, Drew Brees or Elis of the NFL world, but this is the second time in four season where Freeman has thrown more touchdowns than interceptions.

With a lethal running back and wide receiver (Doug Martin, Vincent Jackson), Freeman was able to bring Tampa Bay a solid offensive attack in 2012.

However, the kings of the NFC South are the Falcons and they are in possession of home field advantage in the NFC. At 13-2, though many doubt the team's ability to compete in the playoffs and many have wondered if they were serious or not, the Falcons have the best record in the NFL.

They can thank their tough defense that allows yardage, but has been stingy on points as they come up with big turnovers at pivotal points in games.

They are ranked in the Top 10 in points, total yardage and passing yards. Had the Falcons possessed a fairly decent running game, who knows what they would have done during the regular season.
