New Years Predictions of 2013 Champions in NFL, NBA and MLB

Jan 01, 2013 05:31 PM EST

The New Year is here and we will like to wish all of you a happy one. With the new year comes new resolutions and every professional team, except in football, has a chance to make their championship dreams come true. Check who we think will capture the trophy in their respective sport.

NFL Predictions:
The NFL playoffs are kicking off and all the teams have a fair chance of winning. However, because they are on  an incredible run, the Denver Broncos look like the favorite to win the Super Bowl.

There's really no way you can vote against them. They are the hottest team in the sport right now currently on an 11-game win streak. Peyton Manning is on a tear bouncing back from neck surgery and proving to be a top candidate for MVP and Comeback Player of the Year honors.

Their offense is lethal, but their defense has outdone whatever Manning and the offense have produced out on the field. They allow the second fewest points in the league at 18.1 per game and their passing and rushing defense are third allowing 199 and 91, respectively, per game.

NBA Prediction:
The way LeBron James is tearing up the league, there is little doubt that the Miami Heat are well on their way to their third consecutive NBA Finals appearance. The Oklahoma City Thunder are also playing playing as they own the 2nd best record in the NFL.

However, both of these teams have to watch their backs as the New York Knicks have the second best record in the eastern conference and the Los Angeles Clippers are the best team in the NBA period.

The Miami Heat are still the favorite to wrap it up and take it home again. Team effort is great, but when you have the best player in the world, playing well is contagious.

MLB Predictions:
It's hard to tell who will win this one. Let's just say the Toronto Blue Jays are not one of the favorites in this one. They have a great group of players and greatly improved their pitching rotation, but as half of the Miami Marlins' roster went north, if they couldn't win in the south, what makes people think they can win in Toronto?

The Washington Nationals have one of the best batting lineups in the majors and their pitching is also tops in the league. Bryce Harper is going to be in his second season, Stephen Strasburg should be stronger and wiser in 2013, Gio Gonzalez was outstanding in 2012 and only the Atlanta Braves pose a remote threat in the N.L. East division.

They are due a championship in D.C., so look for the Nationals to take them all the way.

Honorable Mention: Because of their pitching, the the Tampa Bay Rays are always in it, but their offense could always use a boost.
