Los Angeles Lakers News 2012: Steve Nash Claims Team Is Running Out Of Time To Make A Turnaround

After a Tuesday night loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, the Los Angeles Lakers are once again below the .500 mark that seems to always find its way out of their grip.

After the game Kobe Bryant called the Lakers "old" and "slow," and with the team having yet to figure out the offense of Mike D'Antoni, Steve Nash told the Los Angeles Times that time is now running out for this team.

"We've got a lot of work to do," Nash told reporters after the loss. "We're running out of time here. We can't necessarily hit the panic button, but there needs to be a better sense of urgency."

"It's confounding," Nash said. "It's frustrating. We're in a tough position. We really have a lot of ground to make up. We're not finding a lot of answers right now, and we're struggling a little bit."

After a complete roster change in the offseason, a coaching change early in the season and injuries that caused a few setbacks, the Lakers have had a lot to deal with this season.

The team has a lot of ground to cover if they want to compete in the Western Conference, but it's going to be tough with the Lakers now 9.5 games behind the red hot Los Angeles Clippers in the Pacific Division, and in the tenth position in the conference.
