Nevada Uses Colin Kaepernick's Fame To Increase Ticket Sales

As San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick's fame continues to grow, so do the opportunist who look to capitalize from it.

Kaepernick is quickly becoming Nevada's most famous alumni and his former Wolf Pack is trying to capitalize on the fame. They announced to fans offering a chance to win four tickets and pregame field passes to the 49ers 2013 season opener if they purchase or renew at least two tickets for the upcoming Nevada football season.

Kaepernick threw for 262 yards and rushed for an NFL-record 181 in the 49ers win over Green Bay last Saturday.  His record setting 56 year touchdown run in the 49ers' 45-31' victory over the Packers on Saturday accounted for the most yards put up by any quarterback during regular and postseason games.

He is slowly setting himself aside as one of the most captivating figures in the NFL. He is filled with tattoos expressing his religious beliefs and had no problem taking over for the 49ers at the quarterback position, placing Alex Smith on the bench.

The 49ers are now a win over the Atlanta Falcons away from their first Super Bowl since 1995.

While at Nevada, he became the only player in NCAA history with three seasons of 2,000 yards passing and 1,000 yards rushing.
