Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy are featured in the newest Nike commercial and as you could only expect from two of golf's best, it is a competition to the end.
McIlroy recently signed with Nike after making a splash in the sport of golf. He stays prominent with news on the course and away from the game as he is dating and possibly engaged to one of tennis best female players today, Caroline Wozniacki.
Before we go off into tangents, here's the commercial. It won't make you burst out in laughter, but it is surely entertaining.
The title of the commercial is "No Cup is Safe." Very clever. At first thought, it sounded like they were referring to cups as in championships, but things really get out of hand and it's a literal translation as in, neighbors, when these two golf expect a golf ball in your cup.
The coolest part is the wedding reception. The couple and their court received memorable souvenirs.
McIlroy, 23, is presented as the cool new kid in the game, while jokingly referring to Woods, who is now 37, as an old man.
Looks pretty cool having Woods and McIlroy bonding together on a set right?
Wrong!
ESPN recently wrote a piece on how both golfers were filmed separately due to scheduling conflicts as both stars were kept busy.
As both get set to hit the course in Abu Dhabi, McIlroy goes into the tournament ranked No. 1 in the world while Woods is trying to regain his status as the best golfer in the game. He is ranked No. 2 in the competition.
McIlroy and Woods will tee off on Thursday in the European Tour's Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship.
