The Kings pretty much keep their roster intact as they get ready to defend their Stanley Cup. In 2011-2012, the Kings wrapped up the season with a 40-27 record and 95 points tallied. Though only good for third place, the Kings proved clutch in the playoffs and were the best team of the year.
The Blackhawks finished their 2011-2012 campaign 45-26 good for sixth in the Western Conference and fourth in the Central division
This should be a great matchup as two of the NHL's top teams meet. In a shortened season, it's not wise to count anybody out as champions.
