Novak Djokovic takes on a familiar foe in David Ferrer as they both attempt to enter the Men's final at the 2013 Australian Open. Check out the live stream and watch the World's No. 1 Men's player takes the court.
Djokovic will face off against Ferrer, who's ranked fourth in the world in Men's Singles. Throughout his career, Ferrer has improved. He is almost a regular now in the quarterfinals. Though he has never won a grand slam title, he made two quarterfinal appearances and two semifinal appearances in grand slam competitions in 2012.
Last year, he was in the Australian Open quarterfinals. His 2013 semifinals appearance matches his best Australian Open up to date.
Can he beat Djokovic? It's tough to tell. Ferrer has battled through a couple of his matches. Most recently, Nicolas Almagro, his fellow countryman, took him to five sets. Almagro won the first two sets, but Ferrer rallied back to take the final three.
For Djokovic, it hasn't necessarily been smooth sailing. He played No. 15 Stanislas Wawrinka and was pushed to the limit. The last set took 22 games to settle and Djokovic won it 12-10.
In his last match, Djokovic defeated Tom Berdych (5) in four sets.
Djokovic will attempt to defend his Australian Open titles from 2011 and 2012.
