------------WELCOME TO THE LIVE BLOG---------------

The finals are here and Novak Djokovic will defend his title against Andy Murray at the 2013 Australian Open. The action kicked off and we are here to bring you a live play-by-play with scoring updates of this match.

Djokovic has picked up the slack since being threatened of elimination back in the fourth round. Djokovic defeated Tom Berdych (5) and David Ferrer (4) only dropping one of the seven sets he played. He will be defending his Australian Open title which he has captured in back-to-back years. Win today, and he'd win an unprecedented third consecutive title.

As for Murray, he's looking to win his second consecutive grand slam title. He captured the 2012 U.S. Open aganst Djokovic back in September to crown himself the winner of that competition. Murray won his first grand slam and has stepped up his game. Today, he's searching for a second grand slam title.

Murray has only dropped two sets in the entire tournament and that came against a Roger Federer that seems to once again be fading away from the sport of tennis. Djokovic and Murray are quickly becoming the face of Men's Singles. Federer has enough game left in the tank, but from here on, we can likely expect Djokovic and Murray to be in the finals more often.
