Los Angeles Lakers Rumors: As Team Chemistry Builds, Can The Season Be Saved?

Jan 27, 2013 01:38 PM EST

The Los Angeles Lakers snapped a three-game losing streak with a win over the Utah Jazz it what can be viewed as an overall good team effort.

There's no question that the Lakers struggles can be credited to their lack of chemistry, but after the game shooting guard Kobe Bryant spoke with reporters and expressed his belief that things are beginning to change and the team is developing a stronger bond.

"We're bonding together and we're communicating with each other very well," Bryant said, suggesting that last week's confrontation was healthy for the team. "You can't just sweep things under the rug all the time. They don't get better."

The Lakers, however, are still seven games under .500 with an 18-25 record and a lot of work is needed if the team intends to make a run for the post-season. The Lakers will have to be no less than perfect for the remainder of the season and every member on that roster would have to be focused on the task at hand in order to reach their goal.

There's little question that besides probably the Miami Heat, the Lakers are the most talented team in the NBA on paper. If all players are comfortable with one another and can adjust to their roles, this team can be very dangerous and make a deep post-season run.
