To no surprise, another athlete was injured in a nightclub and this time it was Trent Williams of the Washington Redskins. Due to the brawl, the offensive tackle will miss the Pro Bowl, which is under a state of flux.
The brawl took place Friday and luckily for Williams, he wasn't charged with assault as police cleared him of any fault in the fight. Other people weren't too fortunate as they also ended up injured and two of three physically harmed finished up hospitalized. One man was arrested and there are five other brawlers currently being investigated by loco police and officials.
Check out how quickly his teammate cleared him of any fault.
Apparently, everybody is telling the same story. So it's really unfortunate for Williams who will miss his first Pro Bowl appearance. He would have been a great story to follow since he was suspended last season in his second season in the league for use of marijuana. He's worked hard to build back his reputation and played in every game this past season.
Williams unfortunately joins a list of athletes injured at nightclubs. Do we remember Plaxico Burress? His career ended quickly right after he shot himself in the leg right after helping the New York Giants capture their first Super Bowl title in over a decade.
Most recently, it was Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs who was hit by a loose bottle as Drizzy Drake and Chris Brown brawled over Rihanna in a nightclub in New York. Parker was forced to undergo eye surgery and was able to participate in the 2012 London Olympics with his home country France.
Williams will be substituted in the lineup by Minnesota Vikings' rookie tackle Matt Kalil.
