Super Bowl 2013: Michelle Williams Claims Destiny's Child Reunion To Be Untrue (Video/Audio)

This year's Super Bowl is expected to be an exciting matchup between two of the NFL's best, and though it's shaping up to be one for the history books, this year's halftime performance is looking a little less "bootylicious" this year for Destiny's Child fans.

While Beyoncé has posted photos of her rehearsal (below) for the big performance, notable members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams aren't present in any.

However, according to Williams, earlier reports of a reunion for the pop group were merely "not true."

"I'm going to be in the musical Fela!" she recently told WRUG Media in an interview. "I hate to disappoint the people and tell them that it's not true."

Williams is headlining a world tour of the Tony Award-winning show, which kicks off Tuesday in Washington, D.C. According to the show's website, there are two performances of Fela! at Sidney Harman Hall, at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday, but Williams will not be appearing in the show that day.

Tabloid reports surfaced last week claiming Michelle and Kelly Rowland would join Beyoncé on stage at the New Orleans' Superdome Feb. 3 to perform a series of their greatest hit, but Williams insists that's just not the case.

"I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry," Williams said of the reunion rumors. "But we did record a song with each other before the holidays."

Williams is referring to Destiny's Child's new single "Nuclear", their first recording together in eight years off their new album Love Songs. Listen to their new song below.

Though Williams says not to expect a reunion at this year's Super Bowl, she does hint to a reunion outside the recording studio to being a possibility in the future.

"We have talked about it," she said. "You know, one day soon."

The group split in 2005 after their "Destiny Fulfilled and Lovin' It Tour" to focus on their solo careers. Their last live performance was at the 2006 NBA All-Star Game, where the group sang "The Star Spangled Banner."
