In what is now probably the biggest debate in NBA history about who is better, Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant, the Los Angeles Lakers star adds more ammo to fuel his position over the former Chicago Bulls star.

Bryant has been the center of attention during the Lakers three-game winning streak as the main facilitator for the team. Bryant has hit many thresholds in his career, but the win against the Oklahoma City Thunder, in which Bryant recorded 14 assist, set him in 36th place before Jordan on the NBA's all-time assist chart: 5,644 (Kobe) to 5,633 (Michael).

When asked about his achievement, Kobe talked about how he understands his role on a team is to score, but also mentioned his overall drive to succeed.

"I was probably born a scorer," Bryant said, "but made a winner."

Here are how Jordan and Bryant stack up against each other:

Jordan's stats: Rookie of the Year, Six-time NBA champion, Five-time league MVP, 10-time All-NBA First Team, Defensive Player of the Year, Nine-time All-Defensive First Team, All-NBA Second Team, 14-time NBA All-Star, Three-time All-Star MVP and Two-time Olympic gold medalist.

Bryant's stats: Five-time NBA champion, Two-time finals MVP, League MVP, Two-time scoring champion, 14-time NBA All-Star, Four-time All-Star MVP, 10-time NBA First Team, Two-time NBA Second Team, Nine-time All-Defensive First Team and Two-time Olympic gold medalist.
