The game is finally here. It's Super Bowl XLVII the San Francisco 49ers versus Baltimore Ravens at New Orleans in the Superdome at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT.
After the two week hype in preparation for the game, the teams are ready to hit the field and play for a year of bragging rights.
The 49ers are 5-0 in the Super Bowl as Joe Montana and Steve Young had success under the spotlight.
Now, everything is on Colin Kaepernick's arm and legs. He has proven to be the right choice as Jim Harbaugh picked him as the team's starter over the eight-year veteran Alex Smith.
Can he keep the 49ers' record perfect in the Super Bowl? They will have to get past a Ravens team that is playing motivational football. They have battled all season long and they turned it up a notch anfter struggling in the end of the season.
It's their first trip to the Super Bowl since 2000 when they beat the New York Giants. Ray Lewis gets a crack at the trophy once again in his final season as he will surely retire after the conclusion of the season.
Randy Moss also gets another crack at the Lombardi Trophy as he is back in the game for the first time since 2007 when he helped the New England Patriots get to the Super Bowl, but they were defeated by the Giants. He is another player facing retirement after the conclusion of the season.
He claims to be the best wide receiver in the history of the game.
