Chelsea are set to lose out on one of their targets for the future, with Neymar reportedly making it clear if he were to move to a club in Europe it would be with one of the big two in Spain.
Neymar is one of the most coveted players in the world, with the Santos forward tipped to become a world beater sooner rather than later.
The 20-year-old has previously stated he will only leave Santos after the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, with Barcelona thought to be his most likely future destination.
Suggestions that Neymar already had a pre-contract agreement with Barcelona to join them in the summer of 2014 were shot down.
Chelsea and Manchester City are equally keen to bring the forward to England, where he will represent Brazil in the friendly against England at Wembley Wednesday.
However, according to a Brazil insider, Neymar has his heart set on a move to Spain.
"Everyone knows that Neymar will stay in Brazil until the World Cup -- but also that in 2014 he will probably leave for Barcelona or Madrid," the source told the The Sun.
The Brazilian international is already one of the highest paid players in the world, owing to the number of sponsors that pay the bulk of his wages at Santos.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are doing their best to convince highly-rated goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois his future lies at Stamford Bridge.
Courtois is enjoying another successful season on loan at Atletico Madrid, with the Spanish club keen to make the move permanent.
The Belgian goalkeeper is unsure of his future at Chelsea with Petr Cech very much the first choice. Although only 20-years-old, Courtois wants to play regularly and is not keen on becoming Cech's understudy from next season, according to the Daily Mail.
However, Chelsea are ready to pull all stops to convince the youngster to commit his future with the club by offering an improved contract.
Barcelona and Real Madrid have also been linked with a move for Courtois.
