New York Rangers vs. New Jersey Devils Live Stream: Watch Online Atlantic Division Rivals at 7 p.m. ET

Feb 05, 2013 06:32 PM EST

You will probably hear it all throughout the broadcast of tonight's much anticipated New York Rangers vs. New Jersey Devils matchup, "Game 6. Game 6. Game 6." That was the last time these two teams met and the photo above says how that game ended last season in the 2012 Eastern Conference Finals. Now the Rangers get a chance to make up for the loss and you can watch the game live here brought to you by NHL.com.

The Rangers want to win tonight, though it will be a game too late. When the Devils beat them last May, their hopes of a championship evaporated and an excellent season went down the drain.

This game isn't as important as a chance to remain alive in the Stanley Cup fight, but the Rangers will still be hungry for a victory.

"The stakes aren't nearly as high, but New Jersey's New Jersey. They're a tough competitor against us [and] they're always intense games," said Rangers' defenseman Marc Staal. "I can't stand losing to them and I'm sure it's the same way over there."

They remain hungry because they witnessed that loss in overtime and saw the Devils celebrating in front of their home crowd. That's something the Rangers wanted to do last season in their hometown hoisting the cup once again. The Rangers were playing great hockey, so great that the city of New York was experiencing a magical season.

The Knicks were on fire with Jeremy Lin leading the way and the New York Giants had just won another Super Bowl. The Rangers were one of the best teams in the league last season, but they couldn't wrap it up on a high note.

Don't miss the action. You will regret it. Check out this live stream as NHL.com supplies all the games of this shortened season for a small fee.  Click here for the live stream of the New York Rangers vs. New Jersey Devils. It's worth it.
