The divorce drama between reality-TV star Kim Kardashian and Brooklyn Nets power forward Kris Humphries continues be prolonged as Humphries reminds the world he no longer on his wife's timetable.
The couple's divorce came just 72-days into their marriage back in 2011, and while Kardashian has moved on - she's expecting a baby with Kanye West later this year - Humphries is in no apparent rush to end the marriage, a fact he reiterated in a court filing on Monday.
The Nets star is suggesting that Kardashian is trying to gain the upper hand in their divorce battle by trying to accelerate the proceedings.
"What is really going on here is that an 'urgency' in the form of an apparently unplanned pregnancy, something the Respondent had nothing to do with, is perceived by Plaintiff as an opportunity to gain a litigation advantage by trying to force this court to prematurely set this matter for trial," Humphries' attorney Marshall W. Waller states in the filing.
Humphries attorney also suggest that Kardashian's side is hiding something in their attempt to speed up the trial.
"Why don't these people just give us the access we want?" Waller asks. "What are they hiding? What is there in the raw footage of this televised courtship, 72-day marriage and resultant breakup that they are so afraid of us discovering?"
Kardashian has tried to remain positive about the situation-at least publicly. She recently was interviewed on the "Late Show With David Letterman," where she said, "I can't speak for Kris, but I just want him to be happy and I want us to move on, and that's really what I want, is just to move on."
