After winning the battle in the league just a few days ago, Paris Saint Germain will look to oust rivals Marseille in the Coupe de France as well when the two sides lock horns in the Parc de Princes Wednesday.
All eyes will be on David Beckham, with PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti admitting he would start the Englishman against Marseille, with Marco Verratti suspended.
"He will hold the same position as Verratti. He has a full match in the legs. He has the qualities to play midfield and defence as well," he told reporters.
"I understand that Beckham is a very important person for the media, but he is a humble boy. This is a player who works hard in training."
Beckham, who signed a contract with the French league leaders until the end of the season, made his PSG debut at the weekend against Marseille, and will be hoping to make a bigger impact having been given the opportunity from the start.
Ancelotti is under pressure from the club's rich owners to deliver trophies this term, and despite already having one foot in the Champions League quarterfinals and leading the Ligue 1 table, the Italian knows the importance of progressing in the domestic cup as well.
"This is an important objective," he said. "We are now in last 16 and I know that in France, it is a competition that counts.
"We should (be) thorough in our performance. We are still playing Marseille and it will still be difficult."
Ancelotti might rest top striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and hit out at the critics who have questioned the Swedish international's recent form.
"The fans have forgotten that he has scored 22 goals since the start of the season in Ligue 1," Ancelotti added. "Even if it was not a good match against Marseille, he scored another goal and he cannot be always 100 percent."
For Marseille, Jordan Ayew returns from suspension and could step in for his brother Andre, who is a doubt. Left-back Jeremy Morel faces a late fitness test to see whether he is able to take part in the big game.
