Manchester United are looking at the possibility of making a sensational move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has reportedly grown disillusioned with life in France.
Ibrahimovic only moved to moneybags PSG from AC Milan last summer as part of a blockbuster double deal which also brought Thiago Silva to the Parc de Princes.
However, the Swede is notorious for his nomadic playing career having represented the big three Italian clubs along with Barcelona and Ajax.
One thing is certain though, wherever he has gone, he has invariably brought success to the club; Ibrahimovic is the top scorer in the French league at the moment, with his goals currently allowing PSG to lead the standings.
The 31-year-old is reportedly not enjoying life in Paris and has been turned by interest shown from Juventus, where he played from 2004-06, and Manchester United, according to Italian newspaper Gazetta Dello Sport.
The likelihood of Ibrahimovic joining United is slim at best, with the Swede preferring a move back to Italy where he enjoyed so much success.
However, Ibrahimovic is someone who likes challenges and the prospect of playing in the English Premier League for the first time might be something that would tempt him.
However, it can be questioned whether United need Ibrahimovic in their lineup, with Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck already in their ranks.
Rooney and Hernandez, though, have been linked with moves away in the summer and were the Red Devils to lose some of their striking quartet, a move for Ibrahimovic, whose quality cannot be questioned, could be possible.
Meanwhile, Juventus legend Pavel Nedved said he hopes Ibrahimovic returns to Juve at some point.
"Who would not like to have a player like Ibrahimovic in his team? I cannot deny that I would love to see him return to Juventus at some point," he told Italia 2.
"For me, he's on the same level as phenomenons such as Messi and Ronaldo. He is one of those players who could increase the level of any team."
