After completely outclassing AC Milan to advance to the quarterfinals of the Champions League against all odds, Barcelona will look to impose their dominance in the La Liga when they take on Rayo Vallecano.
Barca were in irresistible form earlier this week, when they overhauled a 2-0 deficit to win 4-0 at the Camp Nou, with that man Lionel Messi scoring the first two goals.
While Barca have already as good as sealed the La Liga title, Jordi Roura insisted the game against Rayo would be very important.
"It's very important and especially complicated," Roura said. "We've just had a very intense game which was a huge psychological and physical effort. After such a big boost, we have guard against a drop in our intensity. We have to be very careful. It is vital to win all our home games.
"If there's anyone who has always had faith in the team it was me. I've always said that they react very well to adversity. I've never had any doubts. The players know what they have to do and they'll keep on doing it."
Barca will be without their three most experienced players Carles Puyol, Xavi Hernandez and Victor Valdes, who is suspended. Puyol underwent a knee surgery, and could be out for the rest of the season.
"Players of this quality are always missed but the ones who take their places will be fully focussed and effective. We can't allow ourselves to relax. When you lose the captain that's not good news. We all know what he represents and that he's an example. He's been in pain for some time but he carried on until something had to be done."
Rayo will be without Jose Manuel Casado, Javi Fuego and the influential Leo Baptistao, all of whom are suspended.
