The New York Yankees host the Boston Red Sox in the final game of their series. They will need a dominant game from their team if they don't want to fall to a 0-3 hole to begin the season. The live stream is available as both teams go head-to-head to continue a rivalry that has lost its mist.
The Red Sox have totally outplayed the Yankees in the first two games of the season. These are supposed to be two teams playing for the final spot in the A.L. East. Right now, the Sox are getting a boost from their team. David Ortiz seems to be the only major missing part in the lineup, yet, they've scored 15 runs in the first two games. So far, they have outscored the Yankees 15-6 in two games played.
On Wednesday, Yankee Stadium saw another lackluster crowd gather as the Red Sox beat the Yanks 7-4. Clay Buchholz's spring doesn't look to be a fluke as the right-hander finished with 7 IP, 1 ER, 2 BB 4 SO, completely shutting down the Yankees and the bleeding looks like it won't stop soon as the captain, Derek Jeter, could be out beyond May 1.
On the hill for the Yankees, they will have their left-handed veteran Andy Pettitte who came back in 2013 following a pretty dominant 2012 campaign that finished with an injury. Pettitte, by the way, is 41 years old and entering his 17th season in the majors, 14 of which he spent with the Yankees. The five-time World Champion will look to bring back the spirit on the field as the Yanks look for their first victory of their injury ridled 2013 campaign.
New comer, Ryan Dempster, looks to impress the Red Sox with his first start for the franchise. He's a dominant pitcher who has the knack of giving up a couple of runs. However, he's capable of pitching deep into games, which allows him to get wins when his team backs him up with enough offense.
