Magic Johnson Talks About Learning His Son, E.J., Was Gay And How He Will Continue To Support Him (Video)

Los Angeles Lakers legendary point guard Magic Johnson has been in the public spotlight since his high school days, and has remained there for decades.

After retiring from the game he loved because of contracting HIV, Johnson has spent most of his time taking on various business endeavors and becoming a real family man among his wife and children.

After the news of his son, Earvin "E.J." Johnson III, coming out saying he was gay broke, Johnson has demonstrated the upmost support for his son.

Johnson said he learned of his son's sexuality when he was around the 12 years-old, but that knowledge didn't hinder his relationship with E.J. whatsoever. He stuck by his son and reiterated that there will never be a time in neither one of their lives when he would stop loving and supporting his son.

Video footage of E.J. walking hand-in-hand surfaced on TMZ's website, in which the 20-year-old son was asked various things pertaining to the Los Angeles Dodgers, team in which his father is partial owner too, and the what he feels are the Lakers' playoff chances.

EJ told the photographer that he's been "hoping and praying" for his dad's team, the Dodgers, ever since his father and his business partners took over the franchise.

EJ, who's a student at NYU, has a close relationship with his parents. Back in August, Magic tweeted, "Thx to my son EJ for hosting me at NYU. Look forward to taking him to dinner tonight in the city."
