The Boston Red Sox look to continue rolling in the A.L. East as they take on the Baltimore Orioles for an A.L. East matchup between these two rivals. Check out the live stream as the Red Sox host the Orioles at 7:10 p.m. ET. Here are the matchups.
The Red Sox are first in the A.L. East as they are off to a quick 5-2 start. They are doing it with their bats one day and then relying on their pitching to hold slim leads. They will have the veteran prankster, Ryan Dempster on the mound on Wednesday. He had a rough debut with the Sox as he was pounded by the New York Yankees in the last game of their series as Boston lost their first game of the season. Dempster went 5 innings allowing 3 ER on 5 hits, walking four and striking out eight.
His opposition, Jake Arrieta, didn't have much of a better start himself. Arrieta also went five innings but allowed 5 ER on seven hits, two walks and five strikeouts.
Both pitchers will attempt to better the starts of their 2013 season. The Orioles are trying to repeat their 2012 run that found them in the playoffs. The Yankees and Red Sox are expected to digress eventually as they await for their true sluggers to re-emerge from the disabled list.
After starting 3-1, the O's are on a three-game losing streak, one they will be looking to snap as they get ready to face the Red Sox in Fenway Park.
