Arsene Wenger's favorite word while describing any Arsenal performance is "spirit." Well, there was plenty of "spirit" amongst the Arsenal players in the dramatic 3-1 win over Norwich in the English Premier League which took them to third in the table, albeit aided by a couple of dodgy decisions.
There is not much time to rest on the laurels, though, as Arsenal face an extremely difficult test in the shape of Everton, come Tuesday.
The Gunners can go four points clear of both Chelsea and Tottenham, if they take three points against the Toffees at the Emirates. Spurs, would of course have a game in hand, while Chelsea would have two. But then, as they say, points on the board is always better.
However, if Arsenal are to produce a win against Everton, they will have to play much better than they did against Norwich. Yes, there were enough chances created without having to score three goals in the final seven minutes, but at the end of the day, they were not put away.
Gervinho had one of those games, where he just wasn't effective enough, and when he was given a glorious chance, he fluffed his lines. Jack Wilshere looked rusty coming back from injury and had a forgettable game, while the introduction of Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott made an immediate impact.
Walcott will surely start, while Podolski also deserves a chance, with Cazorla possibly moving back to the middle. Wenger might even give the German international a shot at playing center forward, with Olivier Giroud, looking a little tired.
Arsenal will welcome back Per Mertesacker, after the German completed a one-match suspension for his red card against West Brom. But, it will be interesting to see whether he goes straight back to the starting lineup or Wenger decides to stick with Laurent Koscielny and Thomas Vermaelen.
Tomas Rosicky, who missed the Norwich game through injury, is back, but goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski is a major doubt, while Abou Diaby is ruled out for the season.
Everton were pretty impressive in their 2-0 win over Queens Park Rangers, and David Moyes' side are definitely not going to give up the chase for a top-four place without a fight.
The Merseyside club are four points behind Arsenal having played the same number of games, but a win on Tuesday can change matters dramatically.
Victor Anichebe has come along really well for the Toffees in the last few games, and he is sure to be a handful for the Arsenal defenders. So, will Marouane Fellaini, who scored a wonderful equalizer against Arsenal in the reverse fixture.
It's quite simple really for Arsenal. They need to deal with Everton's physicality really well, while making sure - and this cannot be stressed enough - they take their chances when it is presented.
Expected lineups: Arsenal: Szczesny; Sagna, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Monreal; Ramsey, Arteta; Walcott, Cazorla, Podolski; Giroud.
Everton: Howard; Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Baines; Gibson, Osman; Mirallas, Fellaini, Pienaar; Anichebe.
Prediction: 2-1 to Arsenal
