Boston Marathon Bombing: Bruins vs. Ottawa Senators Postponed After Explosions and Deaths Monday, Game At 7:00 PM ET On Patriots Day

The Boston Marathon was finishing up when two explosions occurred near the finish line on Monday, causing a number of injuries and at least two deaths as some runners continued towards the finish line and mayhem ensued in the area.

According to ESPN.com, the Boston Bruins game against the Ottawa Senators was postponed for the time being and police said that they were clearing out the area and looking for more information and other devices to ensure that there were no more explosions. There was no clear motive for the attack and no concrete information on the numbers of people injured, but some reports said at least 60 were injured and two confirmed dead.

Many people were rushing towards the finish line and runners were diverted to s family area to help the over flow as people ran from the explosions. Organizers and authorities were working to figure out what happened, but so far no motive or timeline has been clear about what exactly happened.

The Bruins were set to play the Senators at 7:00 PM ET on Patriots day, but that game has been postponed. Both teams are fighting for playoff position and the Bruins have 56 points, while the Senators have 48.
