The Boston Red Sox vs. Kansas City Game is postponed as authorities continue their search for the last Marathon bomber. Boston has some sections on lockdown as they attempt to close this chapter on a day the city will never forget. As a result, authorities have postponed tonight's game as the Red Sox were set to play in their first game in Fenway Park since Monday's explosions that left three dead and hundreds injured.
The authorities had made progress, if that's what it can be considered, as they retrieved the location of two suspects, Tamerlan Tsarnaev and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev , brothers from Chechnya. Tamerlan was gunned down and killed, while Dzhokhar is on the loose and being labeled as "armed and dangerous."
Both brothers lived in Cambridge and Tamerlan was a student at Bunker Hill Community College. The killed suspect was previously an amateur boxer in the Golden Gloves competition. Tamerlan was killed Thursday night after luring the police into a chase. They had robbed a store and killed a police officer. They proceeded to steal a car and hide out in Watertown, which is now locked down. The two were in a firefight with police that saw Tamerlan perish and the other get away and is still at large. Dzhokhar is the man police are now searching for and the reason why the Red Sox are being forced to postpone their game.
It has been a couple of days of anticipation and anguish for the Red Sox as they have been unable to play in front of their home crowd. Over the past few days, the Sox managed to bring spirit to their fans by defeating the Cleveland Indians following Monday's tragic explosions at the Boston Marathon. Currently, the Red Sox are on a six-game winning streak and are the hottest team in the majors.
