Manchester United Transfer News: Lewandowski Has Agreed Bayern Munich Move, Claims Heynckes' Agent as Borussia Dortmund Refute Reports

Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes' agent claimed Robert Lewandowski had already agreed a move to join Bayern Munich, dealing a blow to Manchester United's hopes of securing the Borussia Dortmund forward's signature.

Dortmund, though, were quick to shoot down the claims, saying they would much rather keep Lewandowski, who fired home a quite brilliant four goals past Real Madrid in the Champions League semifinals, until his contract expires in 2014, rather than see him leave for the likes of Bayern or United.

The German champions have already weakened Dortmund's squad by triggering the buy-out clause of Mario Gotze, with the playmaker agreeing personal terms with Bayern, who are in a strong position to qualify for the Champions League final after their 4-0 first leg win over Barcelona.

Lewandowski could be the latest to join the Bayern ranks, with Heynckes' representative Enrique Reyes claiming Bayern had already signed the 24-year-old.

"Bayern have signed Lewandowski," Reyes told COPE. "Yes, right now, they have Lewandowski and Gotze. The problem is that Bayern has a lot of money.

"They are doing what they did with Javi Martinez.

"If a club doesn't want to negotiate with you, what do you do? Why, pay the buy-out clause, of course."

However, Dortmund general manager Hans-Joachim Watzke insisted no deal had been agreed with Bayern, and Dortmund were still keen on keeping Lewandowski at Westfalenstadion beyond the current season.

"I'm surprised (about the reports). I don't know what an agent Heynckes has," Watzke told ZDF.

"All the harassing fire from a part of the republic are of no interest to us. The fact is that Robert has contract till 2014.

"Unlike Mario he has no release clause. We want Robert to play next year in Dortmund, for this we waive a transfer fee.

"But first of all we have to talk with Robert. He is one of our most important players and a great guy.

"We have a good relationship and the transfer fee does not matter. I want him to stay, and in my life a lot of my wishes came true."

Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp, who masterminded the outstanding win over Real Madrid, also believes Lewandowski will stay. "I don't believe Lewandowski is on the run," he told Sky Germany. "We won't send him away."

Lewandowski, though, was coy when asked about his future. "I concentrate on Borussia," he said. "We have important games in Champions League and Bundesliga, we have to see what happens then."

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson recently acknowledged his interest in Lewandowski, and is looking to beat Bayern to the prolific striker's signature. If Lewandowski does agree a move, it would cast further doubts over the futures of Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez.
