C.J. Watson Text Messages Sparked Floyd Mayweather Beating and Assault On Ex-Girlfriend Josie Harris, Boxer Furious Over Brooklyn Nets Guard Prior To Violence Charge

Floyd Mayweather spent time in jail for his assault on ex-girlfriend Josie Harris and according to a police report obtained by Yahoo Sports about the attack, Mayweather became furious after finding messages on her phone from Brooklyn Nets guard C.J. Watson.

According to the NY Daily News, Mayweather's ex-girlfriend told police in the report that text messages between her and the guard were what sparked the incident and saw the boxer threaten her life and beat her two years ago in 2010. Watson is from Las Vegas and was playing with the Chicago Bulls when the incident occurred. The report says that Harris said she woke up to find Mayweather with her phone and yelling about the messages.

"Are you having sex with C.J.," Mayweather reportedly shouted at Harris, per the report. The boxer then punched her in the back of the head after his girlfriend said that she was seeing Watson. Following the arrest, Mayweather pleaded guilty to domestic violence and was in jail for two months on a 90 day sentence.

"All I heard is, 'Who is C.J. Watson, C.J. Watson the basketball player?' Harris said in the police report. "From there it was just ... bad. I was powerless. He was holding me down. I couldn't fight back. The kids were screaming and crying, 'You're hurting my Mom.' "

Harris also said that the boxer said "I'm going to kill you and the man you are messing around with. I'm going to have you both disappear."
