Chicago reporter Susannah Collins was fired from Comcast SportsNet following her slipup about the Chicago Blackhawks mentioning that the team was having a tremendous amount of "sex" during the season.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Collins was fired after the incident and the reasoning for her dismissal was tied to her past in which she starred in a number raunchy YouTube videos from a few years ago that bordered on racist. The reports had sexually explicit reports and other stereotypes and put extra attention on her after the slipup, which was featured on Jay Leno and online in many websites.
The report says the videos were made by Middlebrow Media and had her and Sam Raddock talking about sports news and other things with a raunchy twist.
"Due to circumstances unrelated to her on-air remarks Tuesday night, Susannah Collins and Comcast SportsNet Chicago have parted ways," Phil Bedella, vice president and general manager of CSN Chicago said in a statement. "We appreciate everything Susannah has contributed to our network over the past year and wish her the best in her future endeavors."
