Kentucky Derby Winner Orb Has Tom Brady Going Crazy As New England Patriots Quarterback Hugs Owners and Places Massive Bet On Favorite To Win (VIDEO)

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has a number of championships on his resume and he may have brought some of that same luck to the track on Saturday in Kentucky, as the Super Bowl champion celebrated with the owners of the favorite and winner of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.

According to NESN.com, Brady was in attendance at the event on Saturday and as Orb's connections were leaving their box, the quarterback joined in with the crowd and started hugging the owner and others, congratulating them for the horses performance. The three-year-old had Joel Rosario as its jockey, while Stuart Janney III and Phipps Stable are the owners and Orb was a 7-2 favorite on the day. Brady may have been so excited due to the fact that he laid a massive bet on the favorite (although its unconfirmed).

According to one report, Brady may have made some money himself, as @SmartFootball wrote on Twitter: "Rumor at the track is Tom Brady put $4700 on Orb to win."

Brady was not the only football player in attendance at the event, as the quarterback was there with former Patriots Teddy Bruschi and Dan Koppen, while Wes Welker was also at the Derby on Saturday. Brady was asked to come with the group to the winners circle, but the star declined and allowed the horse and it's connections to enjoy the victory. The Kentucky Derby was a sloppy affair after it rained most of the weekend and the field was at 19 horses on Saturday after Black Onyx was scratched late on Friday after dealing with an injury.

Rick Pitino's horse Goldencents could not repeat the victory that Louisville had in the NCAA Tournament and there were a number of other celebrities and other notable horse connections at the race on Saturday, including Jay Cutler, singer Martina Mcbride, Lauren Conrad, Lance Bass and Kid Rock.
