The Chicago Bulls are down 2-1 in their Eastern Conference  semifinals series with the Miami Heat and the road will only get tougher as they'll have to compete without Kirk Hinrich and Luol Deng for Monday night's Game 4 at 7 pm ET.

Hinrich has been out of competition play after suffering a left calf injury in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals against the Brooklyn Nets, and according to coach Tom Thibodeau, he has shown some signs of improvement, but ultimately not enough for him to compete.

"He's doing a little bit more," Thibodeau said Monday. "We'll see. He's on the bike, doing a little bit of shooting."

Deng on the other hand is still dealing with a spinal cord injury and though he's made the attempt to participate in workouts with his teammates, his bizarre loss of weight has resulted in excessive vomiting that has caused those workouts to be cut short.

"He's still not feeling well," Thibodeau said. "So we'll see tonight, but most likely out."

Deng had this to say on Friday about his weight loss complications:

"I did the spinal tap and after that, I just didn't respond well. I started having severe headaches, was struggling to walk. I started feeling really weak. I started throwing up, constant diarrhea. I couldn't control my body really. Because of that, I lost a lot of weight. And still just trying to get back, just trying to get right. I still don't feel right."
